As a resident of California (budget, we don't need no steenkeen budget), I take great pleasure in Illinois suffering through a fiasco of governance almost as bad as our own. In your most Muppetish fashion now, "De-de-de, de-de de-de-de-de Blagojevich."

But I have to point out that at no point have Valerie or I ever considered ourselves "from Illinois." We are enjoying the comedy from an outsider view as much as you are.
On the other hand, having ties to California (in the form of my parents), I have to say I wouldn't trade Illinois' problems for California's at this point.
It appears the comedy will repeat itself as tragedy. At least Illinois has Detroit to look down on. Of course Anbar province can make a good case for having Detroit to look down on . . . .
